Day one of The 17 Day Diet


First lets go over a little bit of what I'm doing here. The 17 day diet has 4 cycles
Cycle 1: Accelerate
Cycle 2: Activate
Cycle 3: Achieve
Cycle 4: Arrive
Each cycle is 17 days long, hence the name "The 17 Day Diet".

Cycle one's purpose is to trigger rapid weight loss in a healthy manner by mobilizing fat stores and flushing water and toxins from your system. Also the Accelerate cycle will do for you,

Reduce carbohydrate intake slightly so that your body taps into its storage fat.
Increases protein intake so that your body goes into fat burning mode.
Corrects improper digestion-a situation that can hold you back from fat burning
Provides rapid weight loss at the start, so that you have the incentive to keep going
Much more!

Every morning there is a wake up drink, squeeze half of a fresh lemon into 8 oz of hot water as soon as you rise. This will get your digestive juices flowing, through-out the day drink at least 7 more glasses of water.

Yesterday was day one at 186.5 lbs.

Breakfast I had:
2 scrambled egg whites with half of a grapefruit
1 cup of green tea

Mid morning snack:
a small apple

large green salad topped with tuna drizzled with 1 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
1 cup of green tea

Mid Afternoon snack:
1 cup fat free yogurt with one cup of sugar free jam mixed in

Plenty of grilled Chicken Breast with steamed squash
1 cup of green tea

This morning I woke up and weighed myself weighing in at 

1 lb down and 45 to go

Today is day two and later tonight after the full day I will fill you in on how it went. Also I'm using an app called Noom if you have an android or Iphone, it helps keep track of all the food and water I drink throughout the day and to keep up with the logging of my weight. 

Now all I have to do is make myself stick to this diet. No matter what!

Trying Something New, I know I know.. This time I'm sticking to it!

So I'm dropping all of the pills, Once I upped my dosage per day like it told me to I started getting shaky, nauseous, sweaty..It's the caffeine! I HATE caffeine..to the point where I don't even drink soda..RARELY will you see a soda in my hand. When I say rarely I mean like, maybe once every 2 months, If that! 

I started a new job, which I love so the stress being lifted from my old job will definitely help with my weight loss. The new job conflicts with my gym schedule so I've been missing some classes because by the time I get off of work the classes are over. I'm looking into a work out routine to do at the gym because last week when my friend Katie and I went we looked like fools not knowing what in the world we were doing. 

Sooooo Here is the new plan!

Dr. Mike Moreno's 17 Day Diet.

I already know that this diet works because my Mom and Step-Father did this and they dropped weight like crazy, and my mom has tried EVERYTHING before this. The 17 Day Diet is based on fast results while teaching you how to eat right, moderate your portions and reset your metabolism. It's a life-style change not a diet that you go on and then go off of and gain all of the weight back.
You literally can have sirloin steak, baked potatoes, and everything on this diet. Once you get to the last cycle on the weekends you can have whatever the heck you want, just don't over indulge.

Things are getting better

Okay so Pilates went amazing, It was incredibly relaxing and based on stretching, breathing, and we did some stuff with some weights. My weak core didn't make it easy on me though, there were certain positions I just could put my body in. Thankfully the instructor and the other girls in the class were very supportive and friendly so Pilates in definitely another class we will keep attending.

Last night we tried Kickboxing, amazing! Also a new gym buddy added to our group. Another military wife whose husband works in the tower with mine. I love the instructor for kickboxing, although at certain points I thought she was crazy. 

For Example: At the fastest most hard parts she was dying laughing while doing it perfect. lol I guess she's just so in shape that it's funny to her! 

Callie (new gym buddy), will be going to the gym with me again tonight. We are going to try out Zumba, I have done Zumba before and I love it! I just haven't tried it at the gym on base to I'm pretty excited! 


dun, dun, dun!

Stepped on the scale this morning and lost 3.2 pounds from the last time I weighed myself! I'm excited about all of this success and the classes!
